Its called checquer plate,either aluminium, or mild steel based. Also available in plastic.

Most auto parts stores should carry or at least know where to get it.

Just look for one that also sells 14'' cannon mufflers, monster tachos, neons, 6' high spoilers and bags of rice. :lol:

Steel checkerplate is very heavy, aluminium is much lighter and can be anodised in any colour you want if you so desire. Trailer manufacturers use a lot of it for floors of trailers so you may find some offcuts there.
