Recently i removed the engine and trans from my eb which ran well and fitted it in to a 1990 ea, both were 4 speed autos.
My problem is that the transmission will now not change into fourth.Everything else seems to be fine.
Has anybody any suggestions as i have ran out of ideas, thanx.
Regards
Steve

Limp home mode? Did you swap the ECU as well?

Does the EA have a TCM for the auto and the EB or just the EA as this will cause it to no lock up the torque converter into 4th, you can bypass this by installing a frequency switch and adjust it to suit the speed (ie lock up the TC at 90k) if you locate the lock up wire from the wiring harness? that is if it dont have a TCM in the EB? but in the EA
