ok this is both a v8 and i6 question, didnt know where to post..

I am ready to give in with my current falcon.. costing me too much money and too much effort to get it running properly.

So heres my question, i know alot of you guys have made do with what you have, and modded according to that. but if you could rewind the clock and start again, what would you build up for a powerfull car? a 5.0l v8 or 4.0l i6? And explain why.

Im sure both have pro's and cons, but i am interested in peoples opinions.

Very soon hopefully i will be able to be rid of my nightmare of a car and buy either of these.

I6 is more cost effective to get power from (especially compared to E series 8's) and will put out more power without splitting a block if you decide to go forced induction.

However you can't beat sound and delivery of torque with the 8!!!

I second that motion. Nothing beats the song of a worked V8 going thru the gears. Which is why I still love the V8 supertaxi's even if it is rigged.
