For some reason, when the aircon is on in my car, unless it is set at 16 degrees, the fanspeed won't go anywhere near flat out. When I say that, I mean that if the fan speed is set at 1 notch below maximum, you cant feel it blowing. Which is a pain in the a*** as while driving on a hot day I really like to have a steady supply of air movement in the cabin, but dont want to have to dress like an eskimo for the privelidge. Has anyone else encountered this in a Climate Control Falcon and if its a fault, how do I fix it.

If its not blowing air at anything other than max, its probably the fan speed controller on the front of the heater box.
Its a small metal box that you can see on the heater box when you remove the glove box. If you want to check, visit a wrecker and pocket one. They are only small. Just make sure you get one of of a car with climate control. Non climate ones are different. And I'm pretty sure they are all the same from EB to EL. |
