hi my nevue tryed a fm modulator with very poor resaults, thats why Iam looking for anoughter avenue to pershue.

Has enyone tryed one of those double din units from EBAY all in one ( steros, GPS, dvd, ipod, bluetooth, ) units with 7inch screen, I think they come from japan not shaw on quality and compatabilaty ???????

Theyre all s**t. Not just the fact that the units themselves are crap, but they look ugly in the AU's dash, they dont fit well and the steering controls wont work. What hea unit do you have? It is possible to add an input to the headunit if you have the double din single cd headunit, by pulling the head unit apart and carefully soldering onto 3 terminals.

Yeah they do I was going to try to use it but I came to the conclusion that the audio would suffer going over the phone wires. Sucks a bit that theres not really any way to do it, even if you had the external 6 sacker itd be possible but you might be stuffed and have to go for a cassette converter (if those units have cassette?) or a modulator.
edit: reason I say audio would suffer is that Im pretty sure the phone wires are mono voice or some other called thing that means low quality sound which would make sense. All aftermarket head units look s**t in AU's but it may be your only choice if you dont want another modulator.
