If you had a look thru the build threads or show us your e series thread, you'd see every third one has twin tips.

Hey, i just did this to my car, here a couple of pics of how I went about it. I basically bought a standard fiberglass rear lip, widened the whole that was already in it, then cut out and glassed a hole on the other side, then cut out the standard bar to fit the twin tips.

There is one catch though. Every exhaust joint I spoke to said that to run an exhaust over to that side brings the exhaust too close to the plastic fuel tank. I know a few people are getting around with them there with no problems, but it just doesn't feel safe enough to me, especially if you get rear ended and your hot exhaust is forced against your plastic fuel tank. Its up the the individual though. Because my car runs on gas, my plan is to get a smaller fuel tank, maybe 30L made up, still mounted underneath, just a whole lot further forward to give me space to get the exhaust in.

XR8's have exactly the same fuel setup, hence the same bar. This is how i did mine

I think he means one outlet with twin tips, not a dual rear exhaust setup.

theres a little something missing from the back of that el :P

couldnt you just heat wrap the exhaust pipe where the fuel tank is?

Haha yeah you could say that. Took the filler panel out to debadge and weld up the holes, nice of you to notice :P

You could definitely get away with just heats wrapping the pipe, I just still wouldn't feel safe enough. I mean technically it wouldn't matter even if you didn't have it wrapped. Even in the worse case scenario where you got hit from behind and your hot exhaust split your fuel tank, i cant see the exhaust that far from the engine igniting fuel. Ive seen dropped bikes leak fuel straight onto headers and not ignite the fuel.
