The PIN code is specific to the HU.
Your dealer can supply the PIN code for the original HU of a specific car but they will want you to come in with the car and prove ownership, they may even try to change you $. The Essendon Ford dealer in Melbourne tried to charge me $25 so i won't deal with them again Ended up getting the PIN over the phone from a friendlier dealer i had delt with before and poped in later that day to thank him Needless to say i will primarily deal with this Ford dealer in future If you buy a s/h Ford HU, the seller should be able to give you the code. Power it up and enter the PIN to make sure it will accept it. Do not loose this PIN otherwise you will end up with a dead unit Best to write it on the HU top as many wreckers do ! Cheers PS: Don't know if you can redefine your own PIN for the HU. I suspect you can't, so most likely there is no master reset procedure as it wouldn't make sence. |
