Sup,

Thought i'd start a thread in here just cause i can...

I bought an EF Ghia a few weeks ago for $1,200 no roadworthy or rego, the car came with an EL GT steering wheel, replica EL GT "17 wheels, pacemaker extractors, sunroof and all the usual ghia goodies.

The car has definatly seen better days but for the price i paid and what it came with i knew i could make a bit of profit if i had to wreck it out lol.

Day i picked it up:

The only problems i've found so far are a bit of rear bumper damage, bit of paint missing on the bottom of the front bumper, the interior recieved a few cans of black paint and one of the bits of woodgrain on drivers door has been glued on upside down :s.

I decided to pull off the EL GT's and stick stockies on for now untill i decided what i wanted to do wheel-wise, and the steering wheel was also removed and was replaced with a black/blue momo wheel, i've put the GT wheel on E-bay, if it sells i'll put that money into the car...maybe a bodykit or something, if it doesn't sell it'll go back on.

My other wheel:

All the exterior door rubbers/plactics were dull and pitted so i gave them a good sand back with some 800 wet and sprayed them with some black rubber/bumper spray i got from supercheap... worked out pretty well, big improvement...

Picked up a genuine EL xr kit a week ago, just missing rear bar.. so im on the look out for one if anyone sees one or has one for sale.
Going to get the front and rear bumpers resprayed too as there are a few dings and cracked paint. Hopefully in a few weeks it will all be done and fitted.

Started rubbing down front bar;

Long term would be turbo, but in the near future i'll be looking into manual and a cam to get me started.

Going to get the body up to scratch first though.

Proress has been slow, was going to just keep it stock but since i'll be getting a work ute soon i'll be able to take this thing off the road and get some stuff done.

Got my front bar sprayed and back on the car... soon as i can track down a rear lip for my EL XR bodykit that will be getting resprayed along with my rear bumper, only have to pay for paint which makes it even better.

Got a few things i wanna fix up before i take it off the road for serious mechanical work, such as;

Track down and fit a new sunroof seal.
Has a bit of a rough idle when in gear.
There's a bit of play in the steering wheel.
Need new ghia door trims in grey.
Fix the dash vents on drivers side.
Aswell as put 2 doors from my spares car on.

So plenty to do but not much motivation :).

Here's how it's sitting at the moment;
