.. or anything similar. Has anyone tried to do this?
Looks like an ideal way to increase the clearance from my exhaust to the rubber brake lines. I get that the calipers are opposite (EF front, EB back) but aside from that? This may be the difference between dual 2.5 or single 3.0 exhausts. Nigel |

Just want to expand on this one, does the whole diff housing changeover from car to car?

Stu. I was wondering if the EF Brake lines on the body will screw to EB Calipers - allowing for the additional complication of the handbrake.

Hmmm, with all my messing around with the rear brakes, I don't think I have tried this.
I do know the body end of the EF-EL flexible brake line matches up fine with the metal pipe on the diff housing. I think the only way to know for sure is to get an EF-EL flexi line and try. My hunch is that is will work fine. Cheers BenJ

OK. Just logged onto the PBR online catalouge & found that the EB flex line are the same for wagon & sedan. How ever the EF sedan line is a different part number & is different again for wagon.
My tip would be take your EF hose to a brake shop so they can match the fittings and custom make it to correct length that you require. My guess is all fittings will be 10X1 double flare. Does the EB diff you are fitting have the flex line running to steel bundy tube along the diff to a "T" piece?? If so you just got to change your chassis to diff single hose. Cheeers Stu. |
