the rear wheel arches are prone to rust and the sill panels aswell

The dog legs probably rust because not many ppl remove the C pillar cap's & clean the crap out that collects there very often. I do mine twice a year at least.

I removed the external c-pillar assembly on my NA Fairlane and it was pretty clean.. I know that the front guard panel nearest to the door fills up with about 5-10 cms of dirt if no one cleans them -I cleaned mine when I put a new electric antenna in..

how do you get in to clean the rear wheel arches?? I assume that it can be done from either the boot... but does dirt collect in there? If so, where does it enter from? If not, why is this section prone to rust?
