but yeh mate, thats what im doing with my 99 au ford, ameretto mett or wateva it is, finding good condition and straight panals and putting them on, dosent worry me about the paint condtion as it will get a respray anyways
at one stage before my bingle it was very straight, no dents or anything, and they were gonna charge me around the 2 o 3 grand mark, because i went out and replace the dented panals and s**t

sand the s**t out of it till all the flaking clear is off
then take your paint code into a spraypainting shop (paint code is on the id plate in the engine bay) and get them to fill a few spray cans up with your colour then prep the surface, spray the colour, spray with clear, then after a few days rub back with 2000grit wet and dry, then a good cut n polish its not worth paying someone to do it, as im sure you dont want to spend more than what the car is worth for professional paint |

Thanks for the tip.
Yeah I'm going to do it myself and give it a go. How many coats of paint you reckon, 4 litres of 2K shold do the trick. I got use of an air compressor and have spray gun. What is a good cut n polish to use? Cheers |
