I put a hid kit in my ef gli (h1 globes) it worked fine , I left it on for about 3 mins , then I installed it in the car , switched on my headlights it powered up and turned on then just turned off, I wired them straight off my headlight plug,
I took them out of the car and tried them on a battery to see is a fuse was blown and they still didn't work , does anyone what happened ?
They are genuine Phillips h1 6000k kit

I think they might have , I'm goin to but a mulitmeter then I can test the ballasts, the bulbs look fine and I didn't touch then at all, I read some where that non hid cars need a digital ballast

All HID ballasts are digital AFAIK.
Odd that both would have blown at the same time. You didn't turn them on, then off, then on again quickly did you? That will shorten the bulb life and can overload the ballast.

Yeah I turned them off then on again, I waited about a min or so, I hope the ballasts are ok and it's Just the bulbs

My knowledge of HID's is now exhausted. I just dropped the only wordI know about these things, sorry if I got your hopes up that I might be able to help you.
