one of my mates has a ba six auto that has been playing up lately and after seeing a mechanic
we have found the issue to being a faulty gasket between the lower bbm and engine but after replacing it the car wont idle correctly and the is no throttle we have checked all the plugs but every thing is on can someone please help me as im not all that sure with this electronic throttle the b series has

could be a ford job, have no clue on the ba throttle system

that f**k sucks
the car will start but have no throttle but if you take the air intake pipe off and use your thinger to open up the throttle even a little the car turns off the engine light is on now too

try resetting the ecu, by pulling the terminals off the battery for hour or so reconnect them, then take it for a bit of a hard drive

ok so now the car wont even start and after getting to start it stills runs like ints on 5 cylinders

my suggestion is ring the mech who did the gasket and get him to fix the problem

engine light on the BA usually relates to an electronic throttle issue

i did the gasket change myself
but all fixed now we pulle a plug wire too tight and wasnt connecting prober

Are you sure you plugged everything in correctly ?
I know SFA about BA's but from what I've read on another forum , it sounds like you may have plugged the Map sensor plug into the TPS and the TPS plug into the Map sensor maybe ? |

yeah its all fixed now
yeah it was a mixure of that and streched cable which needed fixing
