First time posting, so hi to all.

Recently purchased my (real) first car, a BF, and was quite disappointed at the features of the head unit. So I've gone looking for different pieces so I can install my own single-din head unit without altering the current setup too much.

The plan is to use an Aerpro FP9042 ({DESCRIPTION}) and a Pioneer DEH-P5150 ({DESCRIPTION}). However, this is my first atttempt at tinkering with a car's electronics (and what a setup to pick eh.) I went and purchased a manual for my car model so I'll know where all the cables I need are, but any advice anybody has to make this go a whole lot smoother would be nice. Will be installing in two weeks.

First question: on the bottom plate for the FP9042, there is a hole for the cigarette lighter and a dual-usb attachment. There are two wires connected to the usbs, but no instruction on where to place them. I can't see anything on the website, and no manual came in the box. What do they attach to? If pictures are required I can provide some.

Second question: Obviously the battery should be disconnected before disassembling anything, but I've read that you need a reactivation key for the ICC when you put the battery back on. Is that code anywhere on the car, or in a manual, or is calling Ford the only way to get said code? Better yet, will I need it if the unit stays in my car?

Thanks in advance.

Question 1, id say you need to piggy back into the ciggy lighter wires to get power to the usbs.
Question 2, it will say code when you turn the ignition on after reconnecting the battery but just hit the power button on the icc it will turn on but no radio presets or any will be saved.
Any other questions just do a search there are heaps of posts on here about this mod.

when you connect the battery again it will spit the CD out and display CODE when you turn the ICC on, when you turn the car on that goes away and its all good again, the code is saved inside one of the computers in the car.
