I'm having an issue were my sound on my XR which is stock head unit is jumping volume even though its set to 18 it will go dim then cut back in back to were it was but on the unit it stays the same any ideas???

all good mate, there is a power limiting setting which is on by default, go into your menu and towards the end there will be a PL on, simply turn your volume knob so that its off.

Its setup like that to stop the speakers distoring when having the volume turned up, it like sensors that its going to distort and then turns the volumne down before it happens so it still sounds ok
