Hey Guys,

Has anyone got some sort of procedure or tips on removing the dash to replace the mixer shafts in the Series 1 BA's? Im dreading this job but it needs to be fixed and i'll be buggered if im paying FORD to fix their own mistake. And while im in there what other parts are prone to breaking that i can replace while i have got it out?

Cheers in advance,

When they replace these in our workshop they take the dash out and the heater box has to come out as well as the shaft runs through it. You could be looking at replacing the vent doors that the shaft goes through.
Part number for single zone shaft BA 19K752 AKT $52.30 and the vent doors BA2 19D842 A x 2 $39.40 each.

Hey Papa Smurf,

Thanks for the advice, Ill replace all those parts while im in there, would hate to change the shaft and something else breaks. Might replace both of them for good measure, BTW i forgot to mention its dual zone climate control.

Thanks again dude,
