quite often i have the problem of my EL Fairmont deciding that it does not want to start, it just cranks, but won't turn over, then after some bashing of my dash where it is located, it'll kick in, the smart lock light flashes, lettin me know.
anyone else had to deal with this problem? if so, what did ya do about it? and what do you suggest?

It will be the smartlock module which is part of the BEM.

You will need to either have all the solder joints re done, or source a replacement.
