Got a couple of problems with my EL XR8. First one being the oil pressure being too high. I changed the oil pump because it was always maxed out on oil pressure 3 months ago and now more often than not the pressure is high in the red. I've checked the connection on the sender unit and it seems to be OK. The other problem is with the air vents at high RPM the air vents change to the windscreen. Where and how do I start to find the vacuum leak?
Cheers
Chris.

Try a new oil pressure sender unit, it may be dodgy. Or try a mechanical gauge, see what the oil pressure is like at idle, hot and cold.
What oil are you using?

The vents below the screen is the default, all fords go to that setting when they have no vacuum. If it only happens at high rpm, then dont worry about it, that's what happens. My ute does it at high rpm, or when under a big load, towing, etc. Because at that stage it is not making any vacuum.

I always use Castrol magnatec 10w-40 oil. As for the air vents I never noticed it doing it until quite recently, I could be wrong but I thought they had a vacuum tank to get rid of the problem of no vacuum at high RPM.
