ive been told a standard heat shield can be bent and fitted over pacemaker extractors.
dont doubt it but, does it just need to be bent a bit and then bolted up or little bit more then just to bending and bolting? thx Car: 1992 Ford Eb Series 2 Sedan. |

Yes eaily done with the AU heat shield. I actually use a modified Ba shield which covers the extractors completly anless you get right down into the engine bay.

If you have 4499s its quite easy, 4480s dont fit so well hence my custom stainless heatshield.

All the heat shields were short and small i still put one on because it looked better then nothing but is there any different type that are bigger? Part exposed= Point for where u lift the motor up on the extractors side & if looks down inside the bay he will see the extractors down the bottom where the sensor & flange are.. but atleast they dont stick out like dogs balls being all nice and blue . |

Im running 4499's and used my stock heatshield.
Simply put it up against my knee curved side. And bent it out.(as if you are trying to bend it flatt.) Works fine. |

how about an fg heat shield? will they do the job also or to small? have one sitting here, looks to be the same as a ba/bf unit as far as i can tell. does it really make that much difference to make it worth doing?
