Just a quick question - will any EF/L Fairmont or XR Cluster, 5.0 + 4.0, be able to fit and operate correctly in my 95 EF Fairmont 5.0ltr with no adjustments?

Cheers
Grant

Hi mate, I have just installed a EF Fairmont cluster into my GLI XH ute and all that I had to change was the oil light sender unit to an oil pressure sender unit. a mate of mine also did the same as what you are thinking of doing and the oil sender units just had to be changed over. He put a 4.0 cluster into a 5.0 vehicle and it works fine. Cheers.

4 or 5L makes no difference, so you're good there, as will either EF or EL models. There is a difference between XR and mont clusters, however I'm unsure if it will cause an issue here.
If you're putting a fairmont cluster into a gli/futura model you need to add a resistor to the board so the odometer backlighting works correctly (it cuts out otherwise). XR clusters are actually setup the same way as the base model clusters in this regard.
