Hi all, started to look at my 72' F350 Beaver tail and was wondering if the 4 speed had a reverse output somewhere or not because they are a truck box? and how hard it would be to fit one to it?

I've worked on a couple of f350's which had no reverse switch fitted. On one which was a towtruck I put 2 reverse lights on the back and wired up a switch on the dash to activate them. These were called "work lights"!The switch also operated a warning light and a small buzzer. The other one I think used a micro switch and a relay. The switch was mounted on a bracket under the shift boot and when you picked reverse the gear stick activated the switch which in turn operated the relay to send power to the reverse lights.Hope this helps Kevman.
