Hi, I had the same problem the other day when I was taking the steering rack off the EF wagon that I was pulling apart. I ended up using a heat gun, (paint stripper type) got it hot and presto with two spanners pushing and pulling against each other the lock nut moved. Had to do the same when removing the lower strut bolt. it was seized into the rubber bush. If you have some oxy gear you could try that but don't get it too hot as the heat might travel along to the greased nuckle inside the boot. Cheers, Steve.
