ok so i love my AU and it getting on with 275kms!
insides are a looking worn and it needs more go
and a good B series inside would look good with AU XR outsides!
and have been thinking that since the B series from the firewall back is basically the same car
how hard would it be to transplant the whole insides of a b series car into an AU ?
im talking about fitting up the dash and seats etc
door trims should be piss easy

and yes at the same time i would drop in the B series engine/trans and front brakes :)

so all wiring looms would match and be running the b series ecu

i know i would need to plsice int eh front headlights/rear tail lamps and indicators etc

is there anythign else i am missing?

cheers

A lot of drilling in your firewall to fit the very different BA airbox assembly and brackets to fit the dash up to the firewall. Your door trims will be a straight swap. BA Door = AU Door, all you need to do is rip out the AU looms and but BA ones in. Seats I think need a few modifications to the rails. Back seat brackets also need to be modified, and the rear floor under the rear seat base is lower on the AU than on the BA.

^^Nope but they did put a typhoon motor into a BA wagon and XR front end on it also. was called the Tsunami Wagon and was red.

There is a build thread on here with a complete BA into AU interior swap (cams build ), personally i would just buy a BA/BF wagon. the amount of time and money to transplant it all over and get it running- wouldn't be worth it IMO.

i would have been happy with it if i'd put a few more brackets between the firewall and the dash and redone the icc properly...(i never tried swapping the heater box or electrics). but had a little girl, brought a house etc. so the ba dash is sitting in the shed for a few years, the AUs the misses daily atm.

a easier option is a fairmont dash...
