I got my injectors cleaned and serviced a while ago, and my trade price was still $30-40 or so each from memory, plus the time I spent fitting, I think $300 for all you got is a pretty good price, not just fair.
Dealerships in Alice Springs charge up to $150 an hour for labour, we are one of the cheaper hourly rates I know of in town and we charge $95, it is a little more than usual as we are in the middle of nowhere, but still. |

Why did the manifold gasket need to be replaced? It isn't necessary for the sake of injector removal...

No but they do degrade, and can develop a slight leak which affects performance/fuel economy in the same way as a split MAP hose line does.

Causes a s**t idle and poor fuel economy. I did one on an AU last week, it had one split at the first port, that one split was worth 1in/hg at idle. |

I dunno how hard it is to remove a BBM but I once spent about 5 hours a day for 3 days trying to take the intake manifold of the sr20det in my 180sx...couldn't believe how hard it was. After 3 days of swearing, having my hands cut to pieces, raging at anyone who came near me etc the bastard finally came off....
Then when I was done I had to put it back on....&^%$^*&%^$*&^%&*$^%&$(^@&$^$@&(^$@$*&^@&$^@$&^@*&$^@&$^@&$^@&$^@*&$@
