Hey, I'm just wondering on the approximate weights of the following engines:

4.0i OHC (EA-ED)
4.0i OHC (EF/EL/AU)
Barra engine
250 Crossflow
250 Pre Crossflow
302 Windsor V8
302/351 Cleveland V8

Also, what about when they have gearboxes attatched to them?

I'm really bad at judging weights, but I'd say EA - AU (since they are similar engines) about 250kg including ancillaries. Add another 50 - 70kg for gearbox depending on manual or auto.

Not sure on the other engines...

Go to this website http://www.team.net/sol/tech/engine.html lists a huge range of engines including clevo, windsor, pre x flow - barra etc might be to new for it as its a few years old but its a start - the rest should be a google search away, e.g. ` Boss 5.4 is over 250kg, compared to about 180kg for an LS1' , `4.0 about 180 kg'
