Hey, I've been getting airbag code 32, Airbag Circuit High Resistance, or Open Circuit, I've tried clearing the codes, the fuse is good, but all the parts of the airbag system have been unplugged and plugged in numerous times as I've converted my 6 cylinder EF to a 5 litre EL, so what do I need to check to make the airbag system functional again? The wiring loom that is fitted to the dash is out of an EL with Passenger airbag fitted, and mine only has a single airbag, could that be the issue?

gday i have a ef fairmont with the same problem and my brothers xh has the same problem i have narrowed it down to a resistor in the loom behind the dash unsure if on drivers side or passanger side
or possable clockspring

Isn't the firewall loom (That contains the SRS wiring) seperate from the dash/engine bay looms? The only difference in the SRS loom between the single and dual airbag is the resistor in place of the PAB. If it is intact, then this is not likely to be the cause of your issue.

To be honest, I have the same issue, so I am watching this one with interest. I have pulled my dash back out, to check that I have not missed anything.

I am using all EL wiring, and have had the same issue since I converted from the 6 to the 8
