Hi Guys
Feeling like putting dash fron NF series 2 into my series 1 as i want passenger airbag. Would prefer not to replace entire loom so can wires from passenger airbag be tapped into existing wiring. Thanks Steve |

Yes.
Open the glovebox and look on the left hand side for a spiral wrapped wire, it should be clipped into the internal part of the glovebox. (this is the case with series 2's) however I have seen a few in series 1's. If its non existent you need to get to the Airbag controller box and retrieve the blanking resistor plug thats about 5-6cms and tucked into the rest of the loom. from there you need to extend it and run it to the PAB. Youll need an entire dash anyways and also the Dashboard vent pipe to suit.

Thanks Krytox no plug in dash. What does the blanking resistor look like? I have complete dash and left side vent pipes as well.
Cheers Steve |

looks like a insulated Female spade crimp, except with 2 wires going into it.
The resistor is just a flat press in plug like a small 2-pin fuse. Its around 6mm long 3mm wide and 20mm deep. its tucked into the furthermost point in the dash on the Right hand side and is a bastard to get to. (unless the dash is out)

ok s1 the blanking resitors is plugged in at the module, roughly the drivers side das ent, absolute C*** of a spot to get to, honestly, you would've been better to get the loom as it saves threading the loom through etc. in general not to mention haveing to add wires to connect the pab.

i have the whole wiring loom or half of it it has been hacked off at firewall. So if i unpick the airbag wiring this should do the trick? Looking forward to removing dash not.

Dash is easy, the wire will be tapped to the rest of the airbag loom, its around 10cm long, you can cut it, and extend it to the PAB.
