You mean $700 just for the fronts yeh? :P

that would be $700 per rim....lol
:)

Well I thought I wouldnt be far off, 17x8 are fairly common for Simmons.... 17x9.5s is where the money is in the set!

Hey Guys

Stop pumping up the price!!!!! LOL

Now I will never be able to afford them.

Ummm, I know. I have some REALLY NICE CSA Prowlers with and awesome black paint job on the spokes. Wanna Swap?

I would be asking $3500.00 depending on condition of rims and tyres

Sorry but FR Simmons wheels will still be available, made by Tempe Tyres in NSW in 17, 18, 19, 20 and 22. Better quality (billet) and cheaper than before. The dish has been flattened and looks much fatter than the "old" Simmons. Still can get any width and offset. So people who think their old Simmons are worth millions now are kiddin' themselves. Once the "new" Simmons start to roll out to dealers, the old will be worth as much as BA BF copies.

yeah tempe might be making them but they arent the orignal simmons, i would rather pay that little bit extra for the old simmons rims then that crap tempe tyres sell, that mob is as useful as a flyscreen on a sumberine

Tempe tyres are cheap rip offs of simmons and can not be compared to the origanal product, in price or quality.

not this s**t again...

have any of you actually seen/used the 'new' simmons?

do any of you know where the old ones were made?

as Jared said in a similar thread:

Thats cause they are cheap a*** Chinese copies being sold at a premium by fully sick hectic tyres.
They might be billet but they are machined in China and the billet stock is most likely recycled dog food cans.

where do you reckon simmons were getting their centres cast and outers rolled?

If they are/were made in china, they are way overpriced, no matter how good they look!

Its just a premium for the name, just look at electronics for another example.

will or are?
i've seen talk, seen two sets of pics, one set on a VL with a horrid looking centre.
pricing i saw posted was no cheaper.
old ones won't drop value, you are on crack if you genuinely believe that.
if only for the centre caps, Tempe don't have the Simmons name do they?

you find ANY other manufacturer, ANYWHERE in the world, that will do a 3 piece rim in whatever sizes you want for less then what Simmons charged.
