Are you planning to use the BBM and do the thermofan conversion? If so, then you need to use an EL ECU. It plugs straight in and also makes use of the distributor. Some extra wires are required to connect the Smartlock Bypass and BBM vacuum solenoid. If the Bosch dizzy is OK, I'd suggest using that again over a Chinese copy from eBay. You also need to modify the engine loom if you choose to go with the BBM. Search for BenJ's EL motor in EB conversion. It's quite detailed and helpful. With the radiator, you can use the EA radiator but you have to make up a flared stainless steel pipe to connect part of the EA & EF bottom radiator hoses. Otherwise, shell out for an EF radiator and surge tank. If you use the EL ECU, you can use it to directly control the auto rather than the EA Electronic Transmission Control box attached to the pedal box. You'll need to do a bit of research on what wires go where.

Could always put a au motor in, better then the head gasket blowing e series engines

yea i thought of putting a AU engine in but seeing that my brother is putting an 8 into his, he is just giving me the 6.
Yeah ill probably use the EF BBM but im also getting the whole engine lume which follows through to the interior... would that be a problem with all the electricals to work inside??? eg) cluster |
