Ok so. My head gasket needs replacing so I want to do some engine mods whilst im changing it.
From my knowledge a ebxr6 head and ecu will set me back around $500. For a head with probably high ks. And a cam and j3 chip dyno tuned would be around the same. Right? Im wondering wich would be better. Getting a high k ex6 head and a ecu (have to be manual) Or Putting a cam into my just recently 200,00k engine and getting it tuned to get the best out of the cam and the extractors that are on it. Also if anyone knows where to get a xr6head, manuak ecu, camshaft (not too agressive) or a 2nd hand chip (can be re programed) Would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Using common sense what do you think will give you a better improvement?
If that isn't enough there are a million threads on results from any of the wade cams; compare with factory power from xr6.

Seriously do people google "f**k up modifications for Fords owned by Jews" and get linked straight to this site nowadays? AU,factory fitted tickford kit/IRS, t5,Sports ryder/KYB: gone. |

use the standard head with a decent cam and while the heads off get it ported and bigger valves fitted get the j3 tune and you will be looking at close to 160rwkw if you have a decent exhaust will probly cost you a bit more then the xr head but the grin factor will be worth it
