Have been living with it since i got the car, and now its starting to annoy me that whenever i get out i need to feed the seat belt back up into the hole, shame.

Its only on the drivers side the rest are fine, does anyone know about a good replacement option or what the part is i might need? just go to wreckers? or fraud? i dont really feel too confident with seatbelts....

Any help would be sweet thanks.

a seat belt to retract requires a good ground

try removing the seat belt totally from the car cleaning it and putting it back in

As agreed with above post.fully retract the seat belt and using soapy water clan each side of the belt and it should do the trick.

Really? like fully extend the belt as far as it goes and put soapy water on the actual belt itself? that seems wierd ayy.... what part inside it gets dirty how?

The actual belt itself gets grime on it.

Don't douse it with the soapy water...just clean the grime off the belt. I just used warm soapy water, a brush and scrubbed the belt till it was clean. Dabbed it dry with a cloth as I went along.

You can also use a blade and scape the back side of the belt. Did this on my BA worked a treat.

sweet as i bet you were all surprised about how dirty the belts really were? like mine is black so it looks clean, and i think it feels clean, like not dirty so its wierd how it really works. but ill give it a go for sure. thanks for the input. least i know it worked for everyone. one guy just told me if its been in an accident, then it wont pull itself back up anymore, and that the pre tensioners are gone?
