Hey guys
I have an El fairmont ghia an have already installed 2 12" subs with a new HU an amp. My old speakers are beginning to die/ sound crap. What size speakers fit the doors/parcel shelf and does anyone have a recomended setup with 4 speakers an a four channel amp for around $650 - $800? Cheers |

6 or 6.5 inch speakers is what you're after.
For that budget I'd go a Jaycar 4x50rms ($200rrp), and spend about the same on the fronts and get component speakers like a set of boston S60s or something (theres hundreds to choose from), and a set of coaxials for around $100 for the rear. I honestly wouldnt amp the rears; run them directly from the HU, and either bridge the 4ch for the fronts or get a decent 2ch amp. JL Audio G2250 G Series 2 Channel Amplifier ( http://www.ryda.com.au/ProductDetails.a ... =TechSpecs ) Clarion APX4361 4 Channel Car Amplifier ( http://www.ryda.com.au/Clarion-APX4361- ... px4361.htm ) Have a look thru that site and see what you find, you're after 6 or 6.5" components for the front that can handle 50-100rms, and an amp that will deliver that power at 4ohm. |
