And Dan, images are forbidden Throttle bodys aren't completely sealed. Otherwise how does the engine idle when it's closed with no air flow? Its just very restricted so that it only let's enough air pass that it requires to idle

They allow air through when the tb is closed. Unplug yours, and wind the base idle screw down, it wont run. |

Yeah I know what the idle speed controller does...... I just don't see how it can completely seal off the screamer pipe.
I imagine it would create an exhaust leak sound when the wastegate opens, not that it matters which path the excess pressure takes but I personally can't justify the need for such a mod In saying that, I'm not trying to detract from your post, I would just rather spend more time and/or money on stuff that could make significant improvements. Cheers, Corbin

Yeh no worries, you might see no point in it, but it was the OP who asked about it.

Someone's never heard a screamer equipped car on full noise at the drag strip before. It is one of the most raw sounds a hair drier wielding poof can make

{USERNAME} wrote: http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php I'd actually set it up with the muffler on the kinked side and the butterfly on the straight section. That way when it is running in straight through mode it is a true straight through system with minimal restriction. |
