Hello everyone,
I'm putting GT40P heads and extractors onto my ED XR8. The standard exhaust is pretty crappy so I was looking at putting the AU series (220kw) headers on. Is it possible or are there clearance issues with the steering arm. Cheers Steve |

You need the e-series XR headers, not the AU headers as they will foul on the steering arm.

Forget E series Xr headers. They are rather asthmatic.
Fit some after market extractors like pacemakers, get a couple of high flow cat's & a nice exhaust, I have seen a few that go twin 2.5" into a single 3" over the diff. Cheers ToranaGuy

A better idea is to get some aftermarket alloy heads like AFR,TFS,Edelbrock and the list goes on. That way you get much better performance and lighter weight and then get some pacemakers which will go on without spark plug clearance issues.

Thanks guys,
At the moment I'll just stay with the gt heads and see if I can get an exhaust shop to bend some pipes for me. The AFR ,TF heads are a good option but a bit pricey for the moment. Thanks for the advice |
