NF Fairlane - Where did you pick up "HOT" 12v lead in the engine bay (to power LED DRIVING LIGHTs -
Either... 1. ["On" when motor running])? 2. {{ Second choice - "ON" when ignition is on}}. Am fitting 'AUDI style" low power LED lights which are ALWAYS ON when driving. Thanks for your advice... |

this is your call...
On when motor running comes out of the Alternator, its a grey with yellow wire... use this wire to switch a relay, not to power the lights directly, this wire only causes the alt light in the cluster to go out, not sure how many amps its good for so only use it to trigger a relay... Comes off the two pin plug in the back of the alt, and runs straight into the cluster through the loom, so untape the loom and tap into it somewhere... On when key is on comes out of a relay base under the header tank... On my ED there is a grey relay base without a relay, you'll have something similar I'd imagine... You will find two of the pins in the bottom of it that are red w/ green (same wire electrically)... Untape loom a bit and tap into this wire... Cheers, Tim

Mine are wired directly from the parker globe wiring. So esentially mine aren't 'daytime' LED's, just replacing the parker globes.
