What do i do to reset the limp home mode in my 92 fairmont ghia s/w 5.0 injected
I only just brought this wagon and it had nearly no trans fluid in it and had been driven about 30kms. I've topped it up and found the leak and fixed that but when i took it for a drive yesterday it seems to stick in 1st for a bit before it changes to 2nd and it doesn't change into 4th even on the motorway. I'm hoping that its just in limp mode and no damage has been done to the trans. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated |

Pretty sure disconnecting the battery for about 30 mins will reset for you if that is the problem

Usualy fixing the problem will clear it on the next ignition start cycle.
Thats often caused by the Trans Selector, or you actually have a problem Nigel |
