hi my efII 6 auto was flaring then slaming into gear in all gears including r.
now it wont change past second but it will change back to first and isnt flaring any more.
it made a hydraulic psszz before it flared when it flared.
now it makes a big moan when it changes aswell. :cry:
some direction would be much aprecciated.
at the moment i am tossing up wheter to buy one of those ebay full rebuild kits.
can you really do it yourself with a set of torx??
also if chucking a second hand box, what else do i need to change apart from a filter kit while i have her out??

Just get a second hand box with warrenty, replace the front main seal, rear seal and bush on the back of the gear box, full flush and a new filter.

I did that, still no difference. changed the transmission whith one in good condition (that means Inhibitor switch aswell) and it does the excact same thing. Im out of ideas, What else could it be.

If you've changed the whole trans and it's still doing the same thing then it's not a transmission issue then. did you use the same torque converter?

is it blowing black smoke when you floor it?
