I guess you can take it out and power it up on a battery and try and blow through it?

Ok I have removed it and put 12 volts to it, it clicks open and shut! but when its open you can barely blow through it? i mean I blow through it has hard as i can, and hardly any comes out the other side, is this how it should be operating or is it faulty and causing the fuel smell?

Cheers :)

i had the same problem on mine ,the charcoal canister when i took it out it had a really strong fuel smell so changed that and the solenoid and fixed ,was told over filling the tank will cause fuel to run back through the vapour lines and into the canister.
