i am converting my ED to manual and was wondering if i can use the manual ecu out of my EA 3.9

Not too sure about the 3.9/4.0 differences,

But as a note for your ECU, I converted my 3.9 to manual and just changed the gearbox loom and it runs fine, I think cos it was before the electric gearbox (the 3 speed auto like the XFs) the computers were the same/similar

if the 3.9 is mpfi? the ecu will start and run the engine fine( ecu maps are pretty much the same), but you will find that your aircon wont work anymore,( thats if it works) as the ed ecu has the ac (wac) realay triggered and controled by the ed ecu..

thanks for the info fellas i should have stated the 3.9 is mpi
