Hi Fordy's,

I'm preparing for an auto to manual T5 conversion into my EF, and sourced an ED XR6 pedal box.
My question is will it fit smoothly into the the EF for the conversion?

IIRC no.

Its much easier to get a Pin from Malwood. and prolly cheaper and you dont have to remove the dash, making the conversion 1/2 the time.

The spacing for the steering column mount/dash bolts is different, and there are brackets on the ED pedal box that interfere with the dash.

It can be MADE to fit, but you will need time to trial fit it etc.

Cheers
BenJ

I used an EA pedal box in my EL when I converted it.
I just used the auto pedal box as a template for the things to change, removed the few things that weren't needed any more (hand brake bracket) and added some steel to mount something on the RHS of the box (airbag module or power distribution block... cant remember)

All in all, not very hard.

Cool guys Thanks for your help!
Yeah it's sounds little more hassle modding the ED box.
I'm not sure about Malwood clutch pins, I've seen photos and heard stories of how they've worn a hole into the pedal box...
Might just search for an EF EL box to be safe.

Cheers!
