Hi there,
Have been searching forums and just wanted to check if anyone knows.... I have a 1993 ED Fairmont Sedan (6cyl Auto - aftermarket dual fuel). I am looking for a replacement motor for my old ED Fairmont. and considering an Engine and Auto Box from a 1993 August build (same as mine) ED Tickford XR6 Sedan. It comes complete with original exhaust manifold, inlet man ecu and loom. Should be an exact swap I hope. Is there anything I need to take into consideration with the swap? I understand the tickford motors run a higher fuel pressure regulator and do i have to change fuel pump etc. From what I've read I don't. Will use FPR already with the xr6 motor. Also is it the same tailshaft, yokes etc etc. I will be putting in the XR6's ecu! The bloke is also selling extractors to suit it too if I want them. The gearbox attached to this xr6 motor is in good condition as well. The LPG system is only 12 mths old and want to keep running it dual fuel (keep my inlet manifold which is already on my car, injectors etc etc. Cheers Tim PS. If anyone has done this conversion how did it go performance wise?

should be a simple swap mate. I believe the fuel pressure difference is due to the pressure regulator on the fuel rail not the pump.

Cheers mate,
Will be interesting to see what sort of power difference I will see, fuel/ gas consumption it will make. etc.
