Hey guys

I purchased a second hand steering wheel from the wreckers the other day for my EF Fairmont. The new wheel is from a EL Fairlane. I'm just have a couple questions regarding the air bag. Once the two 10mil screws on either side of the wheel are removed, is it as simple as popping out the airbag and disconnecting the plug and reconnecting it to the new wheel?

Also, the battery should be disconnected of course, right?

Cheers
Daniel

disconnect the battery first...

Remove the airbag...

Loosen off the bolt that holds the wheel on but dont take it completely off...

rock in a side to side motion while pulling on the wheel like you banging the next door neighbours wife.... til it come loose (thats why you keep the bolt in so you dont land up with a face full of steering wheel)...

Undo the rest of the bolt and remove steering wheel....

hey mate, as long as you disconnected your batter, an un did the two bolts/screws, an didn't rib the bag an when you pull it out, you also gotta undo the two plugs? (from memorie) an while doing this your not being too rough an not at it with a knife, you should be able to do it with out too much trouble, its straight forward...

an when it come to the wheel, if its stuck, an won't budge, what i found, is if you got a pully puller, there is two bolt holes put two bolts in them an start turning the pullie puller thingy an she'll pop straight off

cheers dan
