Do the EL lock actuators release slow like the earlier ones or are they fast like an AU? I want to pull the ones out of my wrecked EL and plug em into the EB but dont want to be wasting my time if they are the same as whats already fitted.

If you want new actuators, there are some on ebay but they require the removal of the existing ones and the installation of a mounting plate in the door void.
The ones i picked up were $50 for all actuators plus a control box and remotes. If you want to keep the stock remote and central locking unit you could DIY the new actuators and just splice the cables. Cheers Sam

The later model EL ones release slower than the earlier ones.
Was one of the mods Ford did to stop the dancing door lock problems. So if you have dancing door lock on the EB and the EL has 96DA door locks, hang onto them so you can do a swap. |
