I have a 95 Series 2 EF Fairmont which i think has a aircon problem.

The high pressure side is very hot to touch it will burn your hand if you touch it is this normal ? No matter where you touch the pipes on the High Pressure it will burn you hand.

Inside the vehicle is cool on 16 but not freezing. Is there a blockage some where in the aircon system. From what i can see nothing has been replaced on this EF should i replace a receiver drier & get the system re-gassed ?

Cheers Rick

I had the same problem in my el. The high pressure sides are normally extremely hot. I replaced my condenser and compressor and tx valve but i also have some issues with the cooling. I'm assuming its a leak somewhere in the lines. Get your local aircon guy to pressure test it.

Just got the aircon regas today and it's all good now nice and cold. I did replace the TX Valve and the receiver drier. From what i can see there must of been either to much or to little gas in the system
