im in the process of putting my bottom end back together and i heard from someone that the nuts holding the conrods to the crankshaft journals are a single use and should be replaced.
is this the case/ is it worth doing? thanks again |

cheers, im putting my bottom end back togeather too and ive heard the same thing

i suppose id better replaced them then. anyone know if it would be a part somewhere repco would stock? or would i have to go to ford to get them?

Rule of thumb on reusing bolts is, if it's torqued and thats it, reuse.........but, if they are torqued, then turned 'X' amount of degrees, then do NOT reuse.
