HEY!

ive got a mid series (sports) cluster from a ed xr6. im gonna put it in my ed gli,

i've read all the guides, read that very informative one on this website. its great.

is it just a matter of :

* plug the connector in the back of the new one
* whack a oil sender in the side of the block to replace the switch, re-connect the wire to it.
* run a wire from the top of the coil to pin 8 for the tacho... ?

now! this is where im stuck, i've read somewhere that there isnt a need to run a wire for a volt-meter, as the eb11 on-wards are pre-wired...?

is this true?.

and because its a smartlock equipped cluster will the smartlock light work like it does on the one i have in there at the moment.

is it easy to adjust the odometer, i wanna be genuine about it.

the tacho wire is already there,
its pretty much a direct swap over, you just need to swap the oil switch for an oil sender...
the smartlock will work as before..
