hey guys
im just wondering if this is any good?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 21950&rd=1
with
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=38649

would that dvd player thing be any good for normal cd player???
im just curious as my mums still got standard bmw head unit with amps running all speakers and it sounds fine.

like imho i dont see the point in spending $1000 or so on a head unit when i wont be able to pick the SQ diff of my stock eb one....

anyway is it hard to run the wires into the roof etc???

i would probably get the 17" flip down (maybe not a 17" maybe a 12" or something) and that 6 disc dvd changer/head unit. i know shipping is lots but to me its worth it.

umm would i be able to burn mp3s to dvd and they play? cos i know about the mp3 cd but dono if mp3 dvd would work..... (cos ive got 80gb of mp3s lol)

well anyway.... is it hard to install on roof?
and is it gonna work any good?

As far as I know if you burn it as a data DVD it should work the same.

Keep an eye out, cause that ebay seller has AU, US, UK auctions for nearly all his packs, so you can get the right on in AU$.

thats like comparing chalk and cheese, most like a 1992 5 series bmw for the fornt has i think 2 or 3 splits as in a woofer and a tweater or woofer, mid, tweater. stock bmw sound system 1990 on are very good, as well as if u are talking about using ur stock head unit i think u mean that u are going to run the dvd player to the head unit? well thew only way u could do that is by haveing a fm modulater best off is getting a head unit with cd changer or aux in as it is much better then fm modulater plus u will get more features and eq settings, a nice headunit isnt that much if u get it off ebay or on sale...

in regards to my above post for an extra $120 i can get a 6 stacker which is better so i dont fiddle with discs while driving!

ummm i think from the pics its only got 1 rca out...... is that bad? can i hook up 1 amp for speakers and 1 amp for sub from 1 rca?

look at the rear pic of teh changer, it's got 4x audio outs, 1x video out, 2x audio in, a video in, and a digital audio (coax) out.

PLug 'em all into your amp(s) and your set.

so it goes stacker -> amp - > speakers

not stacker->h/u->amp->speakers?

yeah, so you don't need a H/U, as long as you don't care about radio.

Then I'd go:

H/U -> Stacker -> Amp -> Speakers

I will say NO to the MP3 on DVD question. I tried it when I bought a Home dvd player and it doesn't recognize mp3's on DVD. It know's it's a dvd, but can't read the format.

I'm not sure about car dvd, but I'd say that home dvd players would have done it first if it had been done at all.
