hi all
i hav just fitted a new rebuilt I6 in my ef with a moderate amout of mods and a chiptorque piggy back chip also it runs on gas it tends now to hunt at all speeds under 100 or low load, and if at around 60 you ease on the brake it tends to get worse as if its fighting itself? it also has what feels like lean spots where you feel the power plateu then pick up once its worked its way through it.

i thought it was just gas but not it seems to do it on petrol as well. i read somethin about blockin up the stepper motor on the tb not sure if that will help?

any help would be good as i am at a lost end? if it has to go to a dino to get tuned so be it i was trying to wait as its only done 2000km so far could be simple?

I had a similar problem and was obvious after starting the car. Replaced idle speed controller.

yeah i thought it may have been that but i have replaced the idle speed controler the throttle possition sensor and the map sensor and nothin makes a difference it did to start but once the ECU worked it out it was back to its old ways, the other thing i was thinkin about was the co2 sensor coz i put a after market air/fuel gauge in it which reads nothin most of the time on gas and is to random in its readings to work out on petrol maybe its stuffed?
