look for fine increment speedo as most noticeable give away
also passenger side b pillar will show evidence of where the wiring was usually behind the door sill if the car was marked.

Police pack BAs have a heavy-duty electrical system (same as taxis), lowered sports suspension
power windows all round, child lock on the back windows, tickford suspension, lower profile tyres (yellow/red tyre placard), extra grab handles over the doors, extra lights over the rear doors, higher CCA rated battery, cruise, sump guard, digital speedo + speed capture mode, limited slip diff and they aren't speed limited to 180K oh and adjustable pedals.
They drive very well ..

It's falling apart, smells of urine in the backseat, has dents all over....

I'm thinking Opt 20 would only apply to some cop cars.

I don't think an inspector or superintendents car wouldn't be an opt20 car.

You tell me why a Superintendent would waste his time following cars trying to accurately gauge their speed? His position is to be in charge of the station, not to be out on the beat.

Same as some of the D's cars that are used for covert surveillance. Option 20 specifications aren't really required when you are parked out the front of a pedo's house for a few weeks.

I was always under the impression that all cars got the works no matter what as the boss's car may be the only one available at any given time...
