Hi all, recently a mate left me his ef xr6 with an intermitent miss. after having it sit around at work for some time i finaly got around to having a look at it. eventualy the problem was found to be the ecu wich was confirmed by putting the ecu out of my ef xr in and driving the car for 2 weeks! However i have so far been unable to get my hands on another tickford 5spd ecu and have got a standard 5spd ecu in for the moment, the car is runing fine and there is no noteable diference in the way it drives that i am aware of, can any one shed sum light on what the diference is between these two ecu's and is it worth my time trying to scource another tickford one?? we have sent the old one to be repaired and it came back with the same problem! any help would be apreciated!

Yea i did try the auto xr ecu, wich was ok except for it idling to high, ill just leave the standard 5spd one in and see if he wants to get the chip for it cheers
